FIELD: process for recovery of vanadium from sulfate solutions comprises precipitation of hydrated vanadium oxide on heating and separating precipitate from solution. SUBSTANCE: precipitation is carried out to residual concentration of vanadium oxide in solution to at least 0.7 g/l and vanadium is further recovered from the separated solution by sorption. EFFECT: more efficient recovery process.
