FIELD: devices for protection of equipment servicing zones. SUBSTANCE: device includes pulse generator, radiation and reception counters, pulse distributor, set of optical radiation elements connected in pairs and photodetector, switch, filter, AND gate and flip-flop. Input of each radiation element is connected with current amplifier and output of each photodetector is connected with input of respective signal amplifier of photodetectors. Device is also provided with selective amplifier, comparator with compensation of background component, output switch, output switch monitoring unit and pulse monitoring unit. Radiation elements are connected with photodetectors through focusing and converging lenses. Device is provided with self-diagnosis circuit which excludes occupational injuries in case of derangement of any component of electric circuit.
