FIELD: nondestructive dynamic testing of quality of construction structures. SUBSTANCE: ends of structure are put on supports. Additional hinged support is moved along tested structure and occupies definite fixed positions in sequence over its length under sections arranged in symmetry relative to center of span, free vibrations of structure are excited. Dynamic parameters of structure - frequency and logarithmic decrement of vibrations are determined and used for comparison for each position of additional support in sections of tested structure arranged in symmetry. Point of location of defect is judged by position of sections located in symmetry in which compared dynamic parameters differ maximally. EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities of vibration tests thanks to exposure of point of location of defect over length of structure.
