FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: in a method of atomic absorptive determination of mercury in mineral, soil, and air samples involving pumping vapors of volatile components through chamber with gold sorbent selectively absorbing mercury vapor, distinguishing feature is that gold sorbent spiral is heated and mercury vapor is introduced into measuring chamber. Concentration of mercury vapor in inert gas medium is measured. EFFECT: intensified procedure.
