FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of directing magnetic field in pressing region by means of pulling electromagnet. Press for axial magnetic field processing has pulling electromagnet with mobile armature, magnetic circuit in which matrix from non-ferromagnetic material is located. Plunger which is made from ferromagnetic material with non-magnetic insertion at its end enters into matrix. Plunger is connected to armature which is connected to base through liquid dampers. Armature has locking friction sleeve with electromagnetic drive with winding, which is connected in parallel to coil of pulling electromagnet. Press has power supply and control unit. In addition press for operations in lateral magnetic field has stationary ferromagnetic rod which is coaxial to armature. Plunger embraces rod and is made from non-ferromagnetic material. Correcting coil with magnetic circuit is located over plunger. Said coil is connected in opposing to coil of pulling electromagnet. Electromagnetic drive of locking friction sleeve is designed as two spring-loaded armored electromagnets which are mounted on single axis and have opposing windings.
