FIELD: production of monomers. SUBSTANCE: method of producing tetrafluoroethylene and removing the latter from by-product fractions formed in processing of difluorochoromethane pyrolysis gases includes contacting of mixed gas with hydrogen on P/Al2O3 catalyst at 80-200 C, volume rate 50-1000 h-1, tetrafluoroethylene to hydrogen mole ratio 0.9-1.2. Contacting product is further condensed. EFFECT: improved parameters of process. 1 tbl
