FIELD: automotive industry; designing of traffic safety systems. SUBSTANCE: strain gauge transducers 1 and 2 are installed in tyres of driving and driven wheels of automobile, respectively, speed transducers 3 and 4 of driven and driving wheels, respectively, front wheel turning angle transducer 11, pressure indicator 15 whose sensing member are connected with inner spaces of tyres, storage units 5 and 6, arithmetic units 7, 8 and 9 and comparator 10. Control cock has drive 14. Use of strain gauge transducers 1 and 2, speed transducers 3 and 4, storage units 5, 6, arithmetic units 7, 8, 9 and comparator 10 makes it possible to determine relative difference in peripheral speeds of driving and driven wheels of automobile in plane of contact with road coating which is in reverse proportion with road holding capacity of tyre. Use of front wheel turning angle transducer 11 makes it possible to exclude influence of difference in trajectory of movement of front and rear wheels at cornering onto operation of device. Introduction of pressure indicator 15 makes it possible to automatically check tyre air pressure, and use of control cock with drive 14 provides automatic change of tyre air pressure depending on change in road holding capacity of tyre.
