RESERVOIR FOR LIQUIDS ON TRAY AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; containers for liquids. SUBSTANCE: reservoir on tray has inner container made of sheet steel, outer housing of screen and tray made in form of bottom bath accommodating bottom of inner container in form of drain bottom with provision of hermetic closing. Sheet steel inner container, preferably of two-wall design, consists of housing, bottom portion and cover welded together. To make inner container, rectangular sheet blank is bent to form tube like body and butt joined edges of tube are welded longitudinally. Tubular body is drawn into rectangular section housing. Then V-shaped corrugations are made at both ends of housing at a distance from edges and edges are cut. Then bath-shaped bottom portion manufactured by deep drawing is accurately fitted on outer side of one corrugation of housing by its flanged edge or fitted to outer side of corrugation and tack-welded to housing. Cover is mounted on housing in similar manner. Then bottom portion and cover are welded to housing. To provide smooth change of housing into bottom portion and housing into cover sections between these members are expanded by loading the inner container fitted in support mould.
