FIELD: diagnostics of mechanical injuries of equipment manufactured from austentic and austentic-ferrite steels including welds and surfacing. SUBSTANCE: method of based on deformation of metal and on determination of magnetic phase in it. Sample is made from metal adequate to metal of tested zone of structure and is subjected to stepped deformation or cyclic loading with amplitude and asymmetry of cycle corresponding to operational, content of magnetic phase is measured periodically and dependence of content of magnetic phase on degree of deformation or on number of loading cycles is brought out by obtained results. Content of magnetic phase in tested zone of structure is measured. After this one compares mentioned data of measurements in sample and in structure and makes decision on degree of mechanical injury to structure. EFFECT: possibility of determination of actual margin of strength of tested structure.
