FIELD: testing. SUBSTANCE: method can be used for timely setting of load corresponding to conditional yield point in tested local zone which enables present value of degree of change of mechanical properties of metal of structure to be evaluated. Method of determination of static and cyclic load corresponding to yield point of metal of article made from austentic or ferrite-austentic steels is based on loading of articles and recording of stresses and change of magnetic characteristic. In compliance with method article is loaded above yield point in tested zone and intensity of magnetization is used in the capacity of magnetic characteristic. Dependence between intensity of magnetization and load by which value of sought - for load is found is determined. Load in point of greatest curvature of specified dependence is assumed as sought - for load. EFFECT: simplification and increased accuracy of determination of load corresponding to conditional yield point in local zone under static and cyclic loading.
