FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: pulsed electron gun has high-voltage pulse source whose output is connected to electrodes placed in vacuum chamber (anode and cathode placed on cathode holder secured relative to gun body). One of electrodes is installed for displacement relative to other electrode by means of bellows. Gun incorporates means for varying working medium pressure inside main bellows and means for measuring electron beam current. Gun is also provided with controlled stepping assembly and additional bellows; cathode is free to move relative to cathode holder and anode by means of main bellows. Cathode holder has cavity accommodating at least main bellows. Means for varying working medium pressure in main bellows cavity is assembled of additional bellows and controlled stepping assembly whose output member is connected to rod secured on movable end of additional bellows. Other end of this bellows is fixed in position relative to assembly. Cavities holding main and additional bellows are intercommunicating through tube. EFFECT: improved design. 11 cl, 9 dwg
