Abstract RU 2240642 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering; dc power supplies.

SUBSTANCE: device has uncontrolled m-phase ac generator driven by variable-speed motor shaft. Generator winding is connected to input leads of regulated thyristor bridge rectifier whose output leads are connected to load. One of output control units is coupled with gate electrodes of first or second thyristors through normally closed controlled switch 5 which is opened by means of threshold unit 6 as soon as motor shaft speed rises above its operating threshold and interrupts supply of control pulses to respective thyristors. In the process diode 7 that connects neutral lead of generator winding to mentioned output lead of rectifier is driven in conduction with the result that mentioned rectifier starts running as half-wave rectifier and not full-wave one thereby ensuring desired degree of regulation.

EFFECT: improved output voltage characteristics, reduced mass and size of device.
