SPRINKLING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, multitower circle sprinkling machines. SUBSTANCE: sprinkling machine has immovable support 1, pipeline composed of pipes 3,4 adjoining to cars 2 and central pipes 5,6. Sectioned sprinkler nozzles 7 are secured at leading portion of pipeline on pipes adjoining to cars. Openings of nozzles 7 are directed to one side and have deflectors formed as semiconical members with spray angle of 180 deg. Circle sprinklers 8 fixed on central pipes 5,6 of spans have irrigation radius equal to half the length of span. Sectioned nozzles 9 with openings oriented to two sides are fixed at tail portion of pipeline occupying 0.25-0.5 part of its length. Deflectors increase spray boom and reduce energetic effect of water jets on soil and plants. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved quality of artificial rain due to deflectors, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 dwg
