FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in turning of the coupling member of the connecting rod components of the pusher drive thus changing the connecting tod length, and adjustment at the same time of operation of the air cylinder holding the pusher in the upper position. The device for realization of the method has a pusher with its drive in the form of levers, cranks, connecting rod and tie-rods linked with the crank of the main actuator by means of the connecting rod. The crank axle and the connecting rod axle are turned relative to each other through a constant angle, and the connecting rod is made composite, and its components are interconnected by means of a connecting member, which is furnished with threads of opposite directions.
