FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: in a slag-pumice gravel production plant comprising slag-admission groove, vibrational pore-forming device with transmission tray, and blade drum disposed under pore- forming device, each blade of drum are made of two abutting equal-in- area plates, angles between each plate and generatrix passing throughout the drum surface and through abutting point being in the range of 5 to 10 deg.; drum itself is mounted shifted by 0.1-0.3 drum diameter relative to vertical plane passing through end of pore- forming device in the direction of melt travel; and plant is further supplemented with localizing probe disposed over the pore-forming device and with reactor for neutralizing sulfur gases connected with localizing probe and constructed as vibrating container separated with horizontal perforated grating whose surface supports a bed of broken stone grains covered with calcium hydroxide solution. EFFECT: increased productivity, improved quality of manufactured gravel, and reduced release of sulfur gases.
