FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes cellularization of slag melt, crushing of cellularized material into granules and their subsequent cooling. Cellularized granules are cooled in intergranular volume of cellularized granules cooled beforehand. Ratio of previously cooled cellularized granules to granules under cooling ranges within 0.3-0.6. The plant for embodiment of the method includes receiving tray, vibrating cellularization device, paddle drum and metering device located at the end of vibrating cellularization device and is found from paddle drum at a distance of 1.2-2.0 of its radius.
