FIELD: petrochemistry, more particularly preparation of organic binder for manufacture of molds and rods. SUBSTANCE: ecologically less dangerous organic solvent for manufacture of molds is prepared due to reduced content of free phenol in the binder. Its manufacture is cheaper due to using as substrate phenol-free and ash-free resin which is phenol and acetone production waste by cumene method and low viscous ethylbenzene resin which is ethylbenzene production waste as diluent, the ratio of components being as follows (wt%); 70-80 phenol-free resin; 20-30 ethylbenzene resin. EFFECT: improved properties.
