FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: metallic stamped separator is made up as a hollow conical housing whose bases have large and small round cross-pieces. There is a bottom opening in the plane of the small base. The cross-pieces are interconnected through longitudinal cross-pieces uniformly arranged over periphery and forming ports for rollers. The radial cross-section of the small round cross-piece is trapezium. The outer side of the trapezium is coincident with the outer side conical surface of the housing. The inner side is at the acute angle to the base of the trapezium that is coincident with the end face of the small base. The method comprises drawing a hollow semifinished product with a flange, punching and flanging the bottom opening, and moulding the bottom to form small round cross-piece by upsetting the cylindric portion. After flanging the cylindric portion is formed in the bottom zone. EFFECT: improved design and simplified method of manufacturing. 3 cl, 3 dwg
