FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring electric skin conductivity under testing exposure to direct electric current flowing through a circuit having stable voltage constant current source, instrument for measuring skin conductivity with passive electrode connected to the mentioned instrument hold in the patient hand and active electrode electrically bound to the instrument for measuring skin conductivity designed as test prod to be applied to selected acupuncture points. Electric skin conductivity is measured in series in three modes, the first one involves supplying 15 mcA current under condition of negative polarity on the active electrode with electrodes set in short circuit mode, the second one involves supplying 20 mcA current under condition of retained negative polarity with electrodes set in short circuit mode, the third one involves changing polarity on the active electrode for positive one and supplying 20 mcA current under condition of electrodes being in short circuit mode. The active electrode is applied to acupuncture points coupled with corresponding organs and systems in reflex mode. The device has active and passive electrodes, switch, operation mode control unit, output resistor switch unit which input is connected to control unit output, voltage amplifier, information presentation unit, power supply source, operation mode code former, clock pulse generator, analog-to-digital converter, data register, output pulse power amplifier and two galvanic decoupling units. The switch is connected to the first input of the operation mode code former which first output is connected to the operation mode control unit input, which first output is connected to the power supply source input which output is electrically connected to the active electrode and voltage amplifier input through the output resistor switch unit. Voltage amplifier output is connected to the information presentation unit pulse power amplifier through the analog-to-digital converter, data register, output pulse power amplifier and the first galvanic decoupling unit connected in series. The information presentation unit is electrically coupled with the second input of the operation mode code former through the second galvanic decoupling unit. Clock pulse generator output is connected to inputs of the analog-to-digital converter and data register connected to the second output of the operation mode code former.
