FIELD: galvanic coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at developing all-purpose method of preparing electrolyte for applying metal-based composite coatings with disperse phase in the form submicroparticles which would ensure high sedimentation and aggregation stability and improved physico-mechanical characteristics of coatings owing to increased dispersity degree of disperse particles to the level of primary formations or crystallites. Aim is achieved by way of adding disperse phase in the form solid submicroparticles to electrolyte followed by ultrasonically dispersing electrolyte to the state of fine metastable colloid. In a particular case, disperse phase is preliminarily purified in ultrasonic bath. EFFECT: improved characteristics of coatings. 11 cl, 2 dwg
