FIELD: mechanical engineering; finishing of ball bearing races. SUBSTANCE: ferromagnetic bushing to be machined is installed on support member and secured on base by means of piezoelectric members connected by electric circuit. Vibration is excited in support member by supplying voltage to piezoelectric members and is conveyed to bushing in axial direction. Bushing is set into rotation and is machined by abrasive tool. End face surface of bushing is machined to shape of alignment step bearing engaging with surface to which ultrasound oscillations are imparted. Rotation of bushing is provided owing to interaction of eddy currents induced in bushing and rotating magnetic field. EFFECT: improved quality of machining. 2 cl, 1 dwg
