FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining and may be used in grinding shaped end surfaces. Grinding wheel with working end surface is revolve and fed toward part to be machined. Axes of grinding wheel and part rotation are skewed. Grinding wheel end surface is shaped to mate the shape of surface to be ground. Grinding wheel rotational axis is arranged along wheel feed direction while that of the part is located at acute angle to grinding wheel feed direction.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and precision, decreased consumption of abrasives.
