FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic power-nut driver has replaceable nut head 9 interposed between lever 3 and dog 5 and provided with teeth that engage the teeth of lever 3 and dog 5. The rod of hydraulic cylinder 2 is pivotally connected with wedge 6 which is movably interposed between the back side of dog 5 and the side of lever 3 that faces the dog. Dog 5 is flexibly connected with lever 3 through spring 8. The profile of teeth of dog 5, lever 3, and nut head 9 is symmetrical. Under the action of the rod of hydraulic cylinder 2 wedge 6 moves and, decreasing a space between corresponding sides of lever 3 and dog 5, presses them. When the torque produced by the power-nut driver exceeds the torque of resistance to screwing lever 3 with wedge 6 and dog 5 rotate about the axis of power-nut driver 9 and a nut is tightened.
