FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly as monomer in synthesis of high-molecular weight components. SUBSTANCE: Reagent 1: m-dinitrobenzene. Reagent 2: 3,4 xylenol. Reaction conditions: at molar ratio of 0.90- 0.95:1 at 145-150 C for 5 hours in dimethylformamide used in 5 or 6 ford amount to weight of reagents, in the presence of potassium carbonate used in amount of 2.0- 2.5 molar excess with respect to 3,4 xylene followed by distillation of dimethylformamide and extraction of 3,4- (3′-nitrophenoxy) dimethyl at volumetic ratio of methylene chloride to 3 % aqueous KOH to reaction mixture of 5-6: 3: 1, oxidation of 3,4-(3-nitrophenoxy) dimethylbenzene with nitric acid of elevated temperature and pressure to produce 3,4-(3′-aminophenoxy) phthalic acid which is treated with ammonia solution and is reduced with hydrogen. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method.
