FIELD: polymeric materials, more particularly lignosulfonates. SUBSTANCE: lignosulfonate composition differs from those known in the art by low toxicity of modifiers that do not pollute environment and low content of modifiers (7-8%) due to using hexamethylene tetramine and urea in the composition. Selected ratios of components make it possible to attain high structure formation level of the composition, improve its rheological and filtration characteristics. Unlike well known lignosulfonate compositions (ocsyl or the like), the claimed composition contains no ballast compounds, such as sodium sulfates, which impair properties of compositions. The claimed composition is intended for use in the same field where lignosulfonates are used. EFFECT: improved properties. 1 tbl
