FIELD: small arms for effective deadening of shot sound. SUBSTANCE: the muffler has a housing and a separator accommodating partitions formed by the inclined walls of windows perpendicular to the muffler central axis. The partitions make up expansion chambers, and a conical frame arrester is made at the muffler outlet. At a discharge from the barrel muzzle end powder gases get into the expansion chambers, where they are expanded and lose their speed with a reduction of pressure. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 dwg
