FIELD: hand small arms. SUBSTANCE: in small arms, having a barrel, receiver, breechblock, firing mechanism with the guide pin of the firing mechanism and translationally moving firing pin, ejector, and magazine body, the breechblock in the front part is made with flow chambers with central and lateral ports for passage of the barrel and gases. The ejector is made as a rod with a boss for engagement with the magazine body on one end and is rigidly fastened in the cover latch with the other end. The guide pin of the firing spring is hinge-joined to the cover latch with its one end. The firing pin mass may make up 15 to 35% of the total mass of the breechblock and firing pin.
