FIELD: manufacture of coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to objects with simulated finishing characterized by artificial reproduction of texture not intrinsic of surface to be treated. Method includes successively applying transparent pigmented lacquer materials possessing various color gamma pigments onto surface. Utilized are lacquer materials having the same makeup with no regard to material to be treated. Evaporation of liquid fractions and hardening of film-formation substance occurs after applying each layer of lacquer material at room temperature. Coating thus manufactured manifests high adhesion to substrate, mechanical strength, and wear resistance. Precise reproduction of rock structure pattern on any substrate is determined by independence of coating makeup, application and hardening conditions of chosen substrate material, which makes method versatile. Coating may be applied onto any substrate (wood, metal, glass, carbon plastic and so on) under the same conditions. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics and versatility of coating.
