FIELD: shipbuilding; ship's propellers. SUBSTANCE: proposed method provides for obtaining thrust through oscillations of fin of wedge-shaped conical form at ratio of thickness to length of working face of 1:2 to 1:6; it is provided with reinforced flexible plate at sharp end in form of tail fin of whale or fish which is oscillated at frequency of 1-300 Hz and amplitude not exceeding 10 percent of maximum thickness of wedge. Fin repels from water as from solid body which enhances efficiency of propeller without impairment of environment. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and ecological safety.
