FIELD: downhole air hammers. SUBSTANCE: air hammer has exhaust branch pipe made in form of sleeve with radial slots and dead bottom and is secured on the side of open end in central water course of drill bit; and accumulating chamber opened into working stroke chamber is formed behind the sleeve dead end in central channel of striking piston. EFFECT: higher operate reliability and impact power due to simplification of exhaust path and increased strength of exhaust branch pipe made in form of sleeve with dead bottom and radial slots, simplified design of striking piston and increased volume of working stroke chamber. 2 cl, 1 dwg
