FIELD: machinery and equipment for mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this particularly relates to bore-hole drilling equipment. Down-hole pneumatic striker incorporates body with drilling bit having central exhaust passage. Located inside body are following components: striking piston with central passage, air distributing device with exhaust pipe connection which is made in the form of stepped sleeve. Smaller step of this sleeve in combination with bore of central passage in striking piston creates exhaust chamber communicating with inner space of stepped sleeve through radial passages made in smaller step of sleeve in the form of multiplicity of small diameter holes located uniformly over length of intermediate exhaust chamber. This intermediate exhaust chamber is connected with working stroke chamber through longitudinal passages which are made in large step of sleeve. Aforesaid embodiment of down-hole pneumatic striker is of high operational reliability with improved striking power combined with reduced level of noise produced by exhaust gases. This is achieved due to breaking of exhaust flow jets, enlarging bore area of exhaust line, elimination of concentration of exhaust radial passages in single cross-section of stepped sleeve, improved interlocking, and reduction of cycle period.
