FIELD: oil-and-gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes retrieving of core material from well, preparation of powder from sample of core material, X-ray structural investigation of prepared powder, determination of degree of perfection of crystalline structure of calcite with consideration of sizes of its blocks of coherent scattering. In so doing, it is believed that changing of degree of perfection of crystalline structure of calcite from 0.85 to 3.2 and, correspondingly, sizes of blocks of coherent scattering from 120 to 90 nm corresponds to gaseous phase, and changing of perfection degree from 3.3 to 4.3 and sizes of blocks of coherent scattering from 90 to 67 nm corresponds to liquid phase of producing carbonate formation.
