FIELD: automotive industry; exhaust mufflers. SUBSTANCE: muffler has cylindrical housing 1 with inlet end face wall 2 and outlet end face wall 3, inlet branch pipe 4 partially arranged in housing and outlet branch pipe 5 located on side surface of housing 1 in outlet end face wall area. Muffler has also inner hollow perforated cylinder 6 with end face plug 7 installed with clearance relative to end face wall 3 and embracing perforated inlet branch pipe 4 mated through outlet end face with end plug 7 of cylinder 6. Inlet branch pipe 4 and cylinder 6 are installed coaxially relative to each other with eccentricity relative to housing 1. Holes 8 and 9 corresponding to cylinder 6 and inlet pipe 4 in zone opposite to outlet branch pipe are made in muffler. Space between inlet branch pipe 4 and cylinder 6 is divided by zigzag partition 10 forming opposite alternating channels over entire development of outer surface of inlet branch pipe 4 connecting into pairs the perforated holes 8, 9 of inlet branch pipe 4 and hollow cylinder 6.
