FIELD: solar engineering; tracking systems for plants converting energy of sun rays into electricity, heat, and other kinds of energy; solar collectors and cells, mirrors of solar-electric power plants solar compasses, weather heliographs, etc. SUBSTANCE: system depends for its operation on directed sun flux which heats up heat-sensing elements of high coefficient of linear thermal (volumetric) expansion. Ecliptic-oriented heat-sensing elements are assembled into two sun-tracking units forming tracking mechanism with respect to cardinal points relative to vertical axis and tracking mechanism with respect to altitude above horizon relative to horizontal axis. Due to temperature difference, extensions of heat-sensing elements cause lilting of screw platforms corresponding to motion of the Sun tracked by rolls and mechanically transmitted to oriented axes coupled with auxiliary solar element.
