FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves separation of Hilbert-transformed chrominance signal at subcarrier which, together with subcarrier chrominance signal, it transferred to lower-frequency regions forming auxiliary signals transferred, upon removal of brightness noise from them, to subcarrier frequency range; chrominance signal is shaped by adding signals obtained after transfer to subcarrier frequency range. EFFECT: reduced distortions in color reproduction, improved image sharpness and contrast, reduced crossing distortions, and improved signal-to-noise ratio. 14 dwg
