FIELD: nonsteady-state measurements by means of probes on board space flying vehicles, checking medium around satellites, investigations in physics of plasma. SUBSTANCE: device has pulse generator incorporating master oscillator, isolating Schmitt flip-flops, pulse shaper, transistor switch, high-frequency isolating power transformer, as well as probe, power circuit, and measuring circuit. Probe and measuring circuit are connected to different poles of generator; pulse generator is supplied with power from isolating high-frequency transformer using distributed windings. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy due to reduced effect of stray capacitances of measuring instrument on pulse waveform across probe. 2 dwg
