FIELD: agriculture, wheat selection. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use the induced mutation and isolation of resistant forms. Mutations were induced by seed treatment with chemical mutagen of the group involving sodium azide, N-methyl-N-nitrosourea, N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea, ethylmethane sulfate, hydroxylamine and hydrazine. Isolation of resistant forms on provocation background is carried out for two stages. At the first stage seeds were kept in solution of herbicide that inhibits acetohydroxyacid synthase; at the second stage these seeds were grown in soil preliminary treated with herbicide spraying of the same effect before plant germination that show resistance to herbicides inhibiting acetohydroxyacid synthase and that were used at the stage of seed treatment and/or before germination treatment. The germinated normal wheat plants were isolated. EFFECT: improved method of selection. 5 cl, 10 dwg, 3 tbl
