FIELD: solid fuels. SUBSTANCE: briquet supposed to find use in household boiler houses, in fireplaces, in carriage hearts, and as kindling is composed of 27.5-32.5 wt % peat, 27.5-32.5 wt % brown or rock coal, and cellulose nitrate to 100%. Briquet is fabricated by mixing components with ethylacetate added as solvent and subsequently pressing mass thus prepared on hydraulic press through die under pressure 15 MPa to form cords which are then cut to length 200 mm and dried at 50 C until constant weight is achieved. As starting components, waste from cellulose nitrate production as well as peat and coal wastes accumulated at rail-way stations are utilized. EFFECT: reduced cost. 1 tbl
