FIELD: designs of windows with separate, twin, or separate-coupled sash with double or triple glazing, installed in window openings of buildings. SUBSTANCE: located in interplane space of window unit forming vertical air interlayer is screen from light transmitting sheet material installed on sash and filling the lower part of height of air interlayer in window opening. Formulas are offered for calculation value of air interlayer overlapped by screen which is determined proceeding from the conditions of preservation of illumination properties in calculated points of room and increase of heat resistance of wind with such a screen.
