SUBSTANCE: piston engine has cylinder, two heads connected to the cylinder on its both sides, and piston positioned axially movably in the cylinder and provided with rod passed through one of the heads. Steam power plant has steam source and mentioned engine. The piston rod of the engine is associated with steam outlet tube passed through the cylinder head. The piston has channels to pass steam. The steam power plant is provided with linear generator actuated by the piston rod, computer for controlling control valves connected with steam discharge holes in the heads of the cylinder, evaporator connected with valves, phase separation vessel connected with steam discharge tube and means intended for maintaining rarefaction in the phase separation vessel and connected with phase separation vessel and evaporator.
