FIELD: electrical engineering, concerns specific features of manufacture of contactless synchronous motors, applicable in manufacture of contactless synchronous generators. SUBSTANCE: contactless synchronous electrical machine has an armature winding and exciter field winding on the stator, and an excitation system on the rotor made of two windings minimum electrically interconnected. The specific feature is the fact that each winding of the excitation system is made up at least of two parts interconnected via switching devices, for example, diodes for their series or parallel connection. The terminals of winding parts of the excitation system of the same polarity that are not coupled with the terminals of opposite polarity of the other parts of the given windings via the switching device are electrically interconnected. The use of the contactless synchronous electrical machine makes it possible to use all windings of the excitation system at any moment of rotor rotation.
