FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric drive with synchronous reluctance machine includes two groups of three-phase (multi-phase) windings with full pitch, which are uniformly distributed along inner stator bore, and rotor position sensor. Electric drive is equipped with thyristor commutator, current sensor, which are connected between cathode and anode groups of commutator; at that, windings of similar stator phases are connected to each other according to and in series so that spatial magnetic axes of those windings are mutually orthogonal. Beginnings of windings of the first group are connected to power line and the ends of the second group are connected to the input of thyristor commutator. Besides, current sensor output is connected to one of the inputs of current control the second input of which is connected to the source for setting current value, and output of current control and rotor position sensor is connected to thyristor commutator. As per the signal supplied from rotor position sensor output, control pulses are supplied to two fans of opposite groups of thyristor commutator so that true neutral plane of motor can get under the trailing edge of rotor pole.

EFFECT: improving reliability in operating conditions with high angular speeds and high moment overloads, with severe and extremely severe operating conditions, possible operation of the device both in motor and in braking conditions of electric machine.
