FIELD: medicine; diagnostics of occupational pathologies; detection of persons affected with injuries of peripheral nervous system under stationary and ambulatory conditions. SUBSTANCE: mixture consisting of 9 parts chloroform and 1 part ethanol is applied onto back surface of patient's hand, onto volar surface of his (her) shoulder and forearm in their median third. Next latent period is measured until appearance of burning sensation at mixture application point. If extended latent period is established at least two mixture application points, namely, over 2 min. on back surface of hand, and over 1 min. in forearm or shoulder, patient is classified as belonging to category of persons affected with injuries of peripheral nervous system having vibratory genesis. EFFECT: greater sensitivity of diagnosis; reduced risk for introducing inductions to patient. 2 tbl
