DIRECTION INDICATOR SELECTOR SWITCH Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; maneuver indicators. SUBSTANCE: direction indicator selector switch has pulse generator whose output is connected with selector switch of warning lamps on different sides of automotive vehicle, OR gates and short circuit protection unit. Novelty is that selector switch is built around thyristor and dinistor with switching capacitor placed between their cathodes, resistor is connected in parallel with thyristor and direction indicator lamps and cathode of diode are connected to thyristor cathode through selector switch and shunts of indication units. Anode of diode is connected to base of protection unit transistor. Resistor of switching capacitor charging circuit is connected between dinistor cathode and common wire. Control circuit of second thyristor is connected to collector of protection unit transistor. Anode of second thyristor is connected with capacitor and emitter of transistor of pulse generator. Indication units are built around transistors whose base-emitter junctions are connected in parallel with shunts in warning lamp circuits. Collectors of transistors are connected according to OR circuits by means of isolating diodes with indicating lamps connected to outputs. EFFECT: improved reliability, manufacturability and increased service life of direction indicator lamps. 1 dwg
