FIELD: electrolytic metal production. SUBSTANCE: device constructed in the form of two-level system contains anode cage with carbon anodes disposed in longitudinal direction, to which, through uprights and anode cross-bars, direct current with intensity higher than 170 kA is supplied; and cathode blocks disposed on the electrolyzer cell bottom, from which direct current used in electrolysis process is led away through steel transverse sheets. Device is distinguished with its being provided with (i) two uprights symmetrically disposed on longitudinal side near the middle line of cell displaced to transverse axis and (ii) two uprights symmetrically disposed on the end side where current enters electrolyzer cells and through which 50% of current consumed in electrolyzer process is passed. Approximately at the level of cathode integrated bus, on the side opposite to neighboring set of cells, there is a bus designed to compensate magnetic effect of neighboring sets of cells calculated for current intensity constituting some 25% of current intensity consumed in electrolyzer process and which is directed oppositely to current of system. EFFECT: improved design. 4 cl, 2 dwg
