FIELD: mechanical engineering; drives of machines and swivel devices of metal-cutting machines. SUBSTANCE: ball worm gearing has driven wheel 3 whose teeth are located on its face surface; rectangular port 12 is provided on surface of cylindrical bore (along it) in zone of engagement of wheel 3 and worm 1. Gearing is provided with bracket 7 mounted in spaced relation in parallel with face of driven wheel 3 with shim 13 lain in clearance. Ball return passage is made in form of groove located on surface of member 6 directed to bracket 7 and communicated with rectangular port. Member 6 is used to prevent balls from falling out. Proposed gearing provides for regulation of clearance perpendicularly to face of driven wheel. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 dwg
