FIELD: production of heat-emitting members. SUBSTANCE: heat-emitting member has enclosure and stepped cover welded to enclosure. Ceramic fuel in the form of pellets and fuel sleeves is charged into enclosure. Cover which is adapted to seal enclosure at nuclear fuel charging side is made continuous and axisymmetric, with equal truncated cones. Cylindrical part of cover has annular bead with outer minimum diameter equal to maximum inner diameter of enclosure and maximum diameter exceeding inner diameter of enclosure for value equal to that of admissible inner diameter. Cover does not require additional orienting device for mounting within enclosure during batch production of heat-emitting members. Bead cleans inner surface of enclosure during pressing of cover to provide tight fixed connection between cover and enclosure capable of maintaining gas pressure for prolonged time till enclosure is welded to cover. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of heat-emitting member by preventing fuel dust from getting into welding zone. 4 cl, 10 dwg
