FIELD: drives of metal-cutting tools. SUBSTANCE: drive is provided with standard stator-current module computing unit whose input is connected to two stator-current sensors and its output is connected to input of second resistive divider whose output is connected to second input of field current regulator. Output of current module computing unit is also connected to first input of multiplying unit whose second input is connected to output of speed sensor and output, to input of first resistive divider whose output is connected to second input of first adder. Stator current module computing unit has its output also connected to input of dividing unit whose input is connected to speed governor output and output, to second input of first adder whose output is connected to input of second limiting unit whose output is connected to first input of coordinate converter whose second input is connected to output of first rectifier unit whose input is connected to output of second limiting unit. Rectifier unit output is connected to first input of second adder whose output is connected to third input of field regulator. Second input of second adder is connected to output of second rectifier whose input is connected to output of first resistive divider.
