FIELD: medicine; traumatology for treatment of bone fractures. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises plate 1 provided with openings adapted to receive screws, one end of plate being blunt and other being sharpened. Apparatus further comprises holder with guiding rod, and element for fixing blunt end of plate. Screw-receiving openings in plate are made in form of longitudinal grooves open towards sharpened end of plate. Above-described proprietary apparatus is used for practising proposed method, whereby bone fragments are placed together, plate carrying longitudinal groove open on sharpened side is placed onto fractured zone and fixedly attached to bone fragments by screws. Fragments are levelled out before applying plate depending on height of projecting portion on screws preliminarily inserted into both fragments. Once bone fragments are aligned vertically, plate having longitudinal recess corresponding to screw diameter is passed subcutaneously under screw heads. EFFECT: effective, rapid and cheap treatment of bone fractures. 2 cl, 5 dwg
