FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to torch cutting of metals. Line for thermal cutting of metal sheets has cutting station and station for loading sheets and discharge of cut-out articles. Also provided is double-tier transportation system. Cutting station has thermal cutting machine 1 moving on rail track 2 and power-driven roller conveyer 3 for transportation of movable cutting-out table 4, and transmission unit 5. Station for loading sheets and discharge of cut-out articles has sheet and article reloader 6 and double-tier roller conveyer 7 with its lower tier made up of power-driven rollers 8 mounted on frame 9. Frame 9 can be moved from lower tier to upper tier and back. Rollers of upper tier 12 and power drive unit 13 are installed on longitudinal beams 14 which are installed on posts 15 positioned with possibility of turning in vertical plane. Posts 15 can be provided with idle rollers interacting with inclined slides mounted on frame 9 for pressing posts 15 apart as they are spring-loaded. Achieved are higher equipment utilization factor and reduced floor area occupied by equipment. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 10 dwg
